Meta announced a new feature enabling WhatsApp users to generate call links and invite anyone, regardless of whether they have a WhatsApp account, to voice or video conversations. Unregistered guests can join via a desktop web browser by entering their name to enter a virtual waiting room before being admitted by the host. These encrypted calls feature no time limits, and guest participants cannot view other attendees' personal phone numbers. Additionally, Meta revealed plans to introduce calendar integration supporting Google Calendar and Outlook later this year to streamline scheduling for upcoming calls, expanding accessibility for external participants.
