What happened
Meta announced a significant update for its developer ecosystem, completely removing the 'Access Verification' stage from the setup workflow for Tech Provider Apps. Previously, developers whose applications handled customer business data had to submit extensive commercial details and endure lengthy waiting periods for manual review before gaining API access. With this change, the dedicated form, associated prerequisites, and status fields have been entirely removed from the app dashboard, and API endpoints will no longer block requests due to this missing status. However, standard Business Verification and strict App Review processes for advanced permissions remain fully active, ensuring that data protection standards and platform security policies are still strictly maintained across all integrated third-party applications.
